The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) confirmed last Friday that there are evidences showing that the imports of certain steel threaded rod from India and Thailand have materially injured a US industry by selling the products at less-than-fair value to the U.S. market even with subsidization from the Government of India.

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) will determine its preliminary countervailing duty due around September 20, 2013 and the preliminary antidumping duty due on or about December 4th, 2013 on the Commission's affirmative determinations and continue to conduct the investigations on the imports of the products in the meantime.
